Vermont Cheese Comes From Very Smelly Cows

...and I have the pictures to prove it. OK, the pictures don't actually have cows in them. Or show smells. But here are some pictures from my recent bike trip to Vermont, during which I rode past a lot of cow farms, and smelled some smells that I've never smelled before. I don't know what they are feeding those cows, but I grew up around cow farms and those were the nastiest-smelling cows I've ever encountered.

I would have taken more pictures, but I was pretty sore after 4 hours on the bike and just wanted to get to the hotel and take a hot shower. I wish I had taken more pictures at Magic Hat, but those are from when I first arrived and was scouting on my bike, and I forgot my camera when I went back. There are some great statues out front (and inside the store) - you can barely make them out standing on those kegs in the picture above.

There are no pictures of my trip home, because I was completely wiped out and just jumped on the highway as soon as I could and hightailed it home. I did, however, pass through Ludlow before hitting the highway (where Okemo is) and it was beautiful - I wish I had the energy to stop there for a while and explore. Sadly, it was all I could do to get home and crash on the couch and watch the Patriots game on my DVR.
